Kathleen “Kathy” Love is an experienced Albuquerque, New Mexico, attorney. She is a partner of the law firm McGinn, Carpenter, Montoya & Love, PA, a firm of mostly women lawyers who are known around the state as tenacious litigators who represent the "David's against Goliath". Kathy Love and her firm recently won the largest verdict ever in New Mexico, sending a message to medical device manufacturers and hospitals that they cannot put their financial interests over the interests of New Mexico patients.

Kathleen Love's clients come to her in extreme circumstances, often where the most horrible things have happened ever in their lives. She has the privilege of getting to know wonderful people and their families and often getting a window into the lives and personalities of their lost loved ones. Kathy Love approaches the practice of law by seeking not just compensation for her clients' losses, but also to ensure wrongdoers are held accountable so that they make changes to protect the community from similar wrongs in the future.

Having practiced law since the mid-1990s, Kathy Love has a wealth of experience through both private practice and her trial work at the New Mexico Public Defender Department. Kathy Love is a member of the American Association for Justice Board of Governors and will serve as president of the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association in 2015-16. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities with her husband and son, music, traveling, reading and she loves to host parties.
